المجسمات أو الماكيتات Maquette هي معروضات مصغرة تحاكي واقع الأصل بكل تفاصيلة لكن بمقياسرسمأصغر لعرض صورة تخيلية لواقع التصميم المعماري architectural design
حيث يتم نقل إبداعالمهندس أوالمصمم المعماري أو حتى الرسام لواقع ملموس كييفهمهعامة الناس أو صاحب المشروع أو التصميم .
حيث يظهرالمجسم التفاصيل الدقيقة للتصميم لكن في صورة ثلاثية الأبعاد يمكن لمسها و عرضها بشكل أفضل وإكتشاف أيأخطاءتصميمية سواء كانت تصميمات داخلية interior design أو خارجية exterior design
حتى يمكن تعديلها قبل التنفيذ وإخراج التصميم عليأفضلصورة .
