How we make money

3garaat is a free editorial site. We pay for hosting, editorial staff, research and review work by earning affiliate-network commission on outbound referrals to international casino operators listed in our partitioned section (referred to elsewhere on the site as the “international list” or “Top Online Casinos” section). When you click a sponsored link from that section and complete a qualifying action with the operator (typically a first deposit), the operator’s affiliate network reports the referral back to us and pays a commission per their network’s standard payout terms.

We do not earn affiliate commission on the GCGRA-licensed editorial section. Coverage of Play971, TrueWin, UAE Lottery and Wynn Al Marjan Island is editorial — there is no paid-placement arrangement with any of those operators or their owners.

How sponsored links are marked

Every outbound affiliate link on this site carries the HTML attributes rel="sponsored nofollow noopener":

• rel="sponsored" — tells search engines (and crawlers) that the link is part of a paid commercial arrangement, per Google’s 2019 update on link attributes.
• rel="nofollow" — instructs search engines not to pass PageRank.
• rel="noopener" — security best practice for new-tab links.

The affiliate section also carries a visible “Not GCGRA-licensed” pill on every operator row and a UAE-resident warning notice underneath the table.

The current operator lineup is sourced from the following affiliate networks. Operator listings are reviewed and reordered editorially — payout rate is not a ranking factor.

What this affiliate model does not mean

Three points we want explicit:

1. We do not accept payment to add an operator. Inclusion in the international list is decided by the editorial team. Networks contact us; we choose what to publish.
2. We do not accept payment to move an operator up the ranking. The rank order in the table reflects editorial assessment, not payout rate.
3. We do not write paid “reviews”. No operator pays for a review or for favourable copy. Reviews are independent editorial work.

Editorial independence

An operator’s presence in our international list does not insulate them from criticism. If a listed operator has a payment, fairness or responsible-gaming problem, we publish that finding alongside the listing or remove the operator entirely. Our editorial standards are documented on the About page and overseen by the editor-in-chief.

What this means for you, the reader

If you are a UAE resident, this disclosure is academic: we do not recommend the affiliate-section operators to you, and using them would expose you to Federal Decree-Law No. 31 of 2021 penalties. Use the GCGRA-licensed section above instead — no affiliate commission is earned there, but it is the legal route.

If you are an international visitor or non-UAE-resident reader and choose to use a listed operator, you can be confident that our editorial assessment reflects our genuine opinion of the product, regardless of payout rate. We earn our commission either way, so we have no incentive to push a worse operator over a better one.
